What is DTG printing? (concise versions)

      I briefly introduced screen printing before. Today this blog will introduce to you a high-


end printing technology——DTG printing.

⭕ DTG is similar to printing pictures directly on clothes like a color printer. And it suitable


for patterns with rich colors or gradients.

DTG printing can be divided into two categories:

Printing on dark garments: It needs to add an extra layer of white background to fix the


color before printing, otherwise the printing will reverse the background color, so the


printing will have a slight gummy feel.

Printing on light garments: The color of the shirt is preferably white or light color. The


pattern can be sprayed directly on the fabric. The printing will look like nothing and has


good breathable.

Restrictions:

• The material can only be cotton, and pants cannot be sprayed directly. 

• Due to the influence of CMYK color printing mode, the actual printing effect is

  Because good DTG machines and inks are relatively expensive, the price of


DTG printing will be relatively high.   


⭕ Generally, large quantities are suitable for cost-effectiveness. Cheaper ones have poor


color performance and color fastness. Need to choose carefully.️
